RealChart is a free charting website. You can use it without an account. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it, and what changes if you sign in.
If you don't sign in
Your watchlist, drawings, indicators, price alerts, chart settings, trade journal and paper trading account are saved only in your own browser (its "local storage"). They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them. If you sign in later, your journal entries move from the browser into your account.
If you sign in with Google
- What we receive from Google: your name, email address and profile photo. We never see or store your Google password.
- What we save to your account: your watchlist, drawings, indicators, price alerts, chart settings, the trades you log in your trade journal (symbols, prices, times, sizes, results, tags, ratings and notes) and your paper trading account (its virtual balance, positions, orders, trade history and settings), so you can use them on any device. Paper trading uses virtual money only: no real orders are sent anywhere.
- Where it's kept: in a database run by Supabase, in its London (UK) region. Database rules mean each person can only read and change their own data.
- How to delete it: open your profile menu (top right) and choose Delete my account. This permanently deletes your account and everything saved to it straight away, including any ideas and comments you've published.
We use your information only to run your account. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or send marketing emails.
If you publish ideas or comments
- They're public. Anyone, signed in or not, can see your ideas and comments, together with the display name you choose and your profile photo. You can change your display name when you publish an idea.
- What an idea contains: the symbol, timeframe and price, the chart you were looking at (its price bars, your drawings and your indicator settings), your long, short or neutral call, the title and your analysis.
- Likes: the number of likes on an idea is public. Which ideas you liked is visible only to you.
- Reports: when you report an idea or comment, only the site's moderator sees your report.
- Deleting them: you can delete your own ideas and comments at any time. Deleting your account deletes all your ideas, comments, likes and reports.
Please don't post personal information in ideas or comments. See the community rules.
Market data and other services
To show live prices, your browser asks these services for market data directly: Binance, OKX, Bybit, Kraken and gold-api.com. Forex, indices, commodities, bonds and US stock prices come through the site's own helper on Cloudflare, which fetches them from OANDA and Twelve Data. These services see your IP address, like any website you visit, but they don't receive your account details. The page's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Cookies and tracking
There are no advertising or analytics trackers on this site. If you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in session so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it, and also removes your account's setup from that browser.
Not financial advice
Prices and charts are for information only. They may be delayed or wrong, and nothing on this site is financial advice.
